Madison attorney Peggie Rowell is a familiar face, having moved here with her family in 1974 at the age 5. The Bob Jones High School alumnus has been married to Bob Rowell, an airline pilot, for 11 years, and the couple recently purchased a lot on Rainbow Mountain, where they will soon be building their dream home. Their fur baby is tuxedo cat Oreo.
Rowell holds her paralegal degree from Calhoun College, business degree from Faulkner University and law degree from Jones School of Law.
What is your job title, and what does your work entail?
I am attorney/president of Peggie Hulebak Rowell, PC, Attorney at Law. I currently focus on real estate law, business entity law and simple estate planning. I love being able to serve Madison residents, and the surrounding communities, as their hometown attorney.
What do you enjoy about serving as an attorney?
A very short time into my first paralegal job, I decided I wanted to further my education in the field and go to law school. I have a sense of accomplishment running a successful business where I can help people and put them at ease with their legal concerns and needs.
What is your favorite place to visit in Madison?
Rainbow Mountain Trail is beautiful!
What are your favorite Madison restaurants, and what do you like about each of them?
Tazikis because it is always fresh; Smokies BBQ – the white sauce is awesome; and Cracker Barrel for a good plate of comfort food by the fire. They have great service at all three restaurants.
Why do you love Madison?
There are so many reasons! There are lots of things to do; we have great schools; it is a very clean and pretty city; the low crime rate; and it is still very affordable to live here.

- Something people might not know about me is: I twirled baton and took lessons from fifth grade through 12th grade. I was a majorette in high school at Bob Jones. We twirled single batons, double batons, fire batons, fire knives and hoop batons.
